We had asked Jon as a moderator for a symposium on flood management. It was the final symposium to celebrate 7 years of exchange between 8 organisations from 5 different countries from North-West Europe. At this event we really wanted to communicate about the wonderful projects we had done in all the different countries, but our natural tendency was to be rather formal in our presentations and to adhere to the content of our work. When preparing for the symposium, Jon coached us to dare show our passion and our personalities during our presentations. The symposium was a complete success. We all rose above ourselves, and Jon, in his role of moderator, really established an informal and friendly atmosphere where the audience was inspired by our results. He made all the difference!
